Job Description


Coordinates activities involved with the planning and procuring of goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and

supplies, for organization by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interface with Suppliers, Engineers, and Other Departments

• Reviews requisitions, including basic understanding of factors driving requisitions such as MRP, sales orders, bid requests and re-
order points & min/max levels.

• Request, Evaluate, and Negotiate Quotes/Contracts

• Process And Execute Purchase Orders

• Assess Supplier Performance for Contracts and Purchase Orders

• Expedite Orders As Required

• Develop And Maintain Professional Relationships With Suppliers

• Support The Departments Continuous Improvement Goals

• System Maintenance Within Scope Of Responsibilities

• Resolve Invoice Discrepancies As Required

• Manage Special Projects Ensuring High Quality Standards and Timely Completion

• Other Duties As Assigned By Manager/Supervisor

Education and Experience:

• Associate of Arts or Science Degree

• Two (2) to Five (5) Years Procurement Experience In Manufacturing, Preferably In An Engineer To Order Environment

• CPIM or CPSM Certification, Preferred (May Be Substituted for Either Degree or Experience)

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Computer Literate, Proficient In Microsoft Office, Outlook. ERP Software Is Desirable.

• Strong Interpersonal Communication Skills (Written And Verbal) With The Ability To Effectively Communicate At All Levels Within

The Organization and with Suppliers

• Self- Motivated With The Ability To Work Independently And Prioritize Daily Tasks

• Team Player With The Ability To Work Effectively With Other Departments On Special Projects As Assigned
