Job Description

Supporting the purchasing functions of the company which include establishing and maintaining vendor relationships.

  • Negotiation for the best purchase price and terms.
  • Ensuring the ordering process is complete from start to finish.
  • Purchase orders are created and delivered to the vendor, shipments are being received to our facility in a timely fashion and the goods are being delivered as promised at the proper costs.
  • Forecasting of future orders and constant relationship building to ensure the best price in the market.
  • Becoming thoroughly knowledgeable on the worldwide market with regards to the items being purchased and the vendors/manufacturers programs and pricing.
  • Seeking out new avenues for sales growth. Knowledge of the market from the purchasing side will be applied to the sales side so we can maximize profitability for the company. Learning the correct customer segment to market the items to and who are the strong players in the market.
