BASIC FUNCTION: Receives and verifies medical supplies coming to facility. Records information for reordering. Stocks and accounts for medical supplies and billing. Provides training/onboarding for our Certified Nurse Aides. Serves in the capacity of a Certified Nurse Aide to ensure appropriate floor coverage. Severs as a backup to the Restorative Aide. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/TASKS: Keeping the central supply area fully stocked and keeping neighborhoods stocked. Comparing prices with different vendors Ordering supplies and compiling purchase orders Receiving supplies Checking invoices, shipments, unpacking, etc. Distributing, collecting and filling floor supply lists Obtaining supplies for neighborhoods on other than usual day i.e. as needed Maintaining records of chargeable items for billing purposes Maintaining inventory Functioning as a liaison between the nursing department and vendors when necessary Maintaining a log of the serial number, warranty and date of purchase of the durable medical equipment Collecting equipment from the rooms i.e., I.V. pulls, bedside commode, suction machine Auditing and maintaining the emergency cart weekly Picking up supplies on the floor when a resident goes to the hospital or there is a D/C order Assist with the training/onboarding process for all Certified Nurse Aides Will serve as a backup for the restorative program Will serve in the capacity of a Certified Nurse Aide in the event a need arises for floor coverage Conduct weekly audits on all documentation entered into the medical record by the Certified Nurse Aides Conduct weekly audits on the hydration program MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Represents the Juliette Fowler Communities brand at all times. Maintains an active certification through the Texas nurse aide registry Provides exceptional customer service. Ability to use up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or a small amount of force continuously to move objects. Ability to perform moderately difficult manipulation such as writing, typing; foot and hand-eye coordination required. Ability to walk frequently; occasionally stand for prolonged periods of time; occasionally required to squat, climb stairs, kneel and twist; sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to communicate clearly and make self understood in written, phone, and face-to- face interactions; to articulate with extreme accuracy and precision to give directions, speak on the phone, intercom, etc Ability to receive verbal instructions, answer phones, etc. with some background noise. Ability to concentrate on moderate to fine detail with some interruption; ability to attend to tasks/functions for more than 60 minutes at a time. Ability to understand and relate to multiple ideas and the concepts/theories behind the ideas; ability to remember multiple verbal and written tasks/assignments over several days and occasionally up to several months. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with prospective residents, donors, co-workers, vendors, residents Working knowledge of personal computers required.
