Job Description: Responsible for client billing, collections and payment application. This includes direct telephone and e-mail contact and indirect contact through internal Directors/Account Managers. Responsible for maintaining agreed upon delinquency and DSO levels. Primary Responsibilities: • Edit and send accurate invoices. • Direct collection with clients by phone and e-mail. Contacts clients regarding past due invoices. • Escalate collection efforts to involve Directors/Account Managers on invoices after 30 days past due. • Apply payment from various payments methods using remittances and other available information. • Report and track client pay habits using computer systems and/or Excel to analyze trends. • Reconcile payments to invoices. Identify any discrepancies during the reconciliation process and troubleshoot the root cause of such discrepancies. • Analyze data and current processes for improvement opportunities. • Run D&B reports on potential clients to ensure credit worthiness. Minimum Requirements: • 2-3 years of collection experience or direct contact with customers. • Mid-level Excel skills. High level computer and technical skills. • Very detail oriented with an analytical mind. Able to find discrepancies among large amounts of data and determine best solution to resolve. • Effective communication skills with an emphasis on customer service. • Demonstrated ability to follow prescribed steps leading to effective collection management.
